I had to gather select information & images to implement into the proposed 5 double page spreads for the 5 definite questions/statements. Once I had obtained the information and images needed I started doing small thumbnail layouts for my double page spreads, of which we practiced in design principles prior to this.
After drawing out the small thumbnails and had made my decisions on which ones I wanted to go ahead and place the information into, I drew them out to scale on tracing paper. My chosen paper size is B4 (250 x 353mm). I liked this format because I felt that it allowed for a good length of columns on either side of the spread.

Here are the 2 layouts I digitalised on indesign before this weeks lesson.
I used an 8 column layout for 'The Anatomy of Type' page because I had to arrange multiple boxes of text and wanted some white space to have left on the layout. I think this has worked out well, giving the text space to breathe.
In this weeks design principles lesson we had to bring out layouts and ideas for the double page spreads into class. We were put into small groups and then discussed each others work and planning so far into each others double page spread designs. This lesson was quite helpful in receiving peoples feedback and opinion on my work.
The feedback I received from the crit.
I responded to some of the feedback and made further decisions with the 2 layouts I had already started. I reduced some of the information from the 'Anatomy of Type' layout and moved the text on the right page, so there were only 2 rows in use and not 4, making it more simple.
