OUGD505 - Study Task

I wanted to include a background texture or pattern to the design of the leaflet. The approach I was aiming for was a simple one, where it would be mainly sans serif text and images placed within white space or to the bleed. After looking back onto the disobedient objects website, I found the files to the diagrams for the disobedient objects and downloaded them. I figured that I could convert the symbols into vector icons and put then into a pattern. I wanted one side of the design to be run along as one piece, so if someone wanted to they could stick it up as a poster. The quote given to use to used was placed on the back and after I finished creating a pattern out of the disobedient objects/devices in illustrator, I inserted it underneath the text. Calibre typeface was used for the titles/headers and body text. The sans serif type presents an effective and clear aesthetic, its easy to read and is legible, proving to be good use for body copy too.
