A few I came up with were;
- honey made from home
- mikes honey
- honey from the hills
- sweet shropshire
- millstone honey
-
I played around with the geographical names such as shropshire, hills etc. But I liked millstone honey the best because it sounded good. It had somewhat a ring to it. It represents my home well as that is apart of the address and there are 4 millstones around my home as it used to be a mill house back in the day. My dad agreed with the name too. I think the name represents the local aspect of my dads honey well and also sounds quite bespoke.
As millstone is apart of the name I thought I would see what designs/logos millstones are used in. To my surprise there were not many designs online that included millstones, probably because they are dated. The work I found was dated, old, not appealing and pretty ugly. Millstones I found were like etchings and old drawings. However the best image I found is below - 'The Versatile Millstone Workhorse of Many Industries'. The patterns of different millstones is something I could work with in my design. I also discovered the same patterns from the image on actual stone millstone images that came up in search results. Even though the name suggests millstone, it doesn't have to include one, but I do want something that signifies the local aspect within the design too.
