Me, Katie & Joe had purchased the materials for the booklets on monday evening. We decided to use red card and go forth and screen print the logo and name on top in white as we thought it would make an effective aesthetic for our concept.
Joe & Will had their book binding inductions today and put their skills to the test and helped whack out a good number of booklets. I had used my bonefold and create the folds with all the pieces of stock and card. I then passed the folded materials to each of them. It was almost like a factory production line.
We are also planning on presenting a poster for fridays crit and will and joe have started work on the poster for Creative Commute.
Will putting his new book binding skills to work.
We all decided on doing a 3 hole saddle stitch like we practiced in the Book binding inductions as it was the most simple way of binding the booklets. We considered doing more holes but we thought it was best to keep it simple as we were running against time. Also for what we are producing 3 holes gives it a decent amount of strength to keep the book intact.
