OUGD505 - Disobedient Objects Exhibition

Here are my images from the Disobedient Objects Exhibition, which was at the V&A in London. The exhibition, which was about the powerful role of objects in movements for social change, has relevance to the new module we have been delivered for Design Practice 2. Signs, objects, flags, banners and shields created by protestors were showcased in the exhibition. There were even interactive and controversial video games presented. A lot of the content was eye opening for me, as I'm not too familiar with a lot of the global politics that is going on in the world as of late. I benefited a lot from visiting the V & A. My favourite section of the event was the objects themselves that were featured as diagrams on yellow sheets of paper, which visitors could take home. Different devices such as locks, book bloc shields, bike blocs, drones and make shift tear gas masks were included on these sheets alongside descriptions on how to make your own.
