OUGD406 - Studio Brief 2 - More Decisions + Time Plan

Our project proposal;

To change the stigma thats attached to public transport by showing how it can be a creative experience, that will encourage the general public to use it more and create their creative footprint.

As we only have this week to complete this group project we were all told that it would be best to organise a time plan for members of the group to commit to in order to reach the deadline date.

Time Plan

Tuesday - Expose screen at rossington 4 - 6pm

Wednesday - Book Binding, Create booklets & set twitter challange for this week

Thursday - Digital Print 2 posters / Create presentation / Post posters up

Friday - Presentation / Inform them on dates and up & coming challenges.

Colour decisions
We initially wanted to use white on blue stock for the booklets as blue was the colour i used for the booklet i had made in the induction. We hadn't fully thought out what colours we wanted and didn't have any supporting reasons behind the choice of colour. The group met up outside of college and we discussed what colours we could use for the booklets and posters. We wanted them to work together as a set well. The aim has been to use white ink on stock when screen printing the booklets. Colours were being mentioned within the discussion of which could be effective with white on top. Will mentioned the use of red and we questioned the use of white ink on red stock. We thought to ourselves that it would be an effective design decision for our brief as it would stand out to the audience. Red also ties in well with public transport as it is used on British Rail and Swiss Rail. Red it synonyms with London Buses and Traffic lights. I feel that it links in very well with our project.
