Type Font Family

I started this task by taking the serifs off Times New Roman.

Times New Roman has already existing regular, bold and italic typefaces. However a set of Light characters needed to be created, of which was the hardest part about the task. Reducing the weight of all the lines and anatomical sections of the letterforms for them all to follow along the characteristics of the Time New Roman.



These are the complete hand rendered drawings of my final typeface.

After I had completed the hand rendered designs of my altered Times New Roman typeface, I scanned them in and traced over them within illustrator.
