Type Journal - Llye's Golden Syrup

Lyles golden syrup is an old brand that started in 1883 when the syrup was first invented. The design for the company came about in 1904 and had remained ever since. The type used is a traditional serif typeface that has very small serifs on the stems and strokes which did cause some confusion as I thought for a hole that it could of been a sans swrif. I love the heritage that the bran has with it's identity as it has stood the test I time.
