OUGD406 - Studio Brief 3 - Final Designs + Crit

The crit for our movie poster designs went well. It was very exciting to see the whole classes screen printed efforts with their designs. Simon stated that the whole of the 1st and 2nd year will have their movie poster designs displayed in Studio 2 when we come back after easter, which should look really cool.

When discussing my own poster and my decisions I took within the design process, people seemed to agree that they liked that I had hand rendered my typography for the title of the film. They understood that I wanted to convey a rough textured aesthetic in relation to the roughness/grittiness of a combat/action movie.
Although there were annoying problems that came up whilst screen printing, which were a little stressful, I am pleased with the final outcome for the poster. I think I've successfully created a simple and effective visual solution, for a really really bad film. Haha!
